Boo-T-Ful Witchy Braya

This little darling four year old girl came walking past me dressed in her Halloween costume Thursday afternoon while I was enjoying an iced coffee at the New Oxford Coffee Company. Her beautiful smile was too much to not ask her and her aunt if I could take her picture for my blog page. Having permission, utilizing New Oxford's oldest home's  front porch fall decorations for a backdrop. My new little friend Braya just made my day with her modeling skills. Her aunt is also a photographer, In Bloom Photography, so go show her some love, visit her FaceBook page.

The Fly And The Pumpkin

Gaylyn and Diane's Pumpkin
It's that time of the year again known as Autumn, and what comes with Autumn, pumpkins of course. Our neighbors have a few perfectly placed in their flower beds for some decoration. While "across the street" yesterday, I snapped this photo. A fly was also admiring the pumpkins beauty as he strolled across it's orangeness. At our house, we aren't as festive, we just use pumpkins for things like pies.

If Life Was This Simple Again

See Saw at the Oakside Community Park in Biglerville Pennyslvania
Remember when life was so simple that fifteen minutes on a old see saw was super exciting? I do, and my fondest memories of a see saw was at the old New Oxford Drive-In Theater located on the Lincoln Highway, also known as Route 30 near Cross Keys in New Oxford Pa. Located off to the left of the big screen was a small playground where the kids congregated prior to the movie beginning. The see saws were the old metal type, squeaked with each rise and fall. The worst part, when your co-rider bailed off while you were at the top causing you a rapid descend slamming back into the Earth. Ironically, I now live in what would be nearly the front row of the old drive-in.
